What are 9jakitchen.com's delivery rules + policies?

9jakitchen.com and our partners take enormous pride in every product we offer and strive to deliver them in the best possible condition within the requested delivery time.

While we do many things to mitigate the risk of delivering fresh and frozen food around the country, there are unfortunately some things outside of our control like the weather and traffic delays once the package is in the hands of the delivery service providers. As such, the delivery guidelines published on this website do not guarantee delivery or arrival time.

All our meals are freshly prepared daily. It takes about 30 – 45 minutes or less to deliver your meal. However, the type of meal ordered, delivery location and certain situations outside our control (e.g. rush hour, weather etc.) may affect the time your meal is delivered. 9jakitchen.com is unable to guarantee the time of delivery, as this is all subject to the local carrier. Most carriers will deliver immediately after the order is ready. If you are placing an order for a time-sensitive event, we recommend placing your order early and scheduling it to arrive 2 hours before your event. A majority of our products can be frozen or refrigerated upon arrival to preserve freshness.

In anticipation of high package volumes (especially during holidays) or other uncontrollable events, we may have your order shipped early to ensure that it arrives in good condition. 9jakitchen.com reserves the right to schedule the arrival of your order earlier or later than estimated to prevent delays, based on operational conditions.

9jakitchen.com does not require a signature for the delivery of most of its packages. 9jakitchen.com is not responsible for packages that require a signature but are not delivered because no one is home to sign.

Customers are responsible for checking that all delivery information is correct before submitting an order as well as in their order confirmation email. If you need to modify the delivery address once your order has shipped, a #500 address change processing fee will apply to your order. 9jakitchen.com is not responsible for delays in transit caused by address modification.

There are no returns, refunds, or cancellations allowed on any orders that have shipped or have entered into fulfilment.

We offer charged delivery in some locations in Nigeria at the moment and would be able to reach all the nooks and crannies of the country in due time.

Due to restricted access to certain offices, customers there must collect deliveries at a designated location(s).

Delivery service is not available to areas that cannot be reached directly by our Motorbikes/vehicles, or buildings without a functioning lift to the 5th floor and above.

Delivery service will be suspended during bad weather. In this event, customers will be contacted to re-schedule delivery time.

We reserve the right to charge an additional delivery fee if the recipient is not available to accept delivery at the nominated delivery time.

It is the responsibility of the customer to notify Chopnownow immediately of any change to their delivery address.

We reserve the right to decline delivery of meals to any customer at our sole discretion.

Freshness
We advise that our customers consume their meals within 30-40 minutes of purchase when it is still fresh, or keep them refrigerated to be consumed later. 9jakitchen.com shall not be responsible for food poisoning as a result of food not being consumed within 40 minutes after purchase.

All packages are shipped via riders and therefore we cannot deliver to P.O. Box addresses.
